SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO, CA — The holiday season is a time to give back to your community, whether that be a family member, a friend or a stranger in need. At The Ecology Center in San Juan Capistrano, giving back to the community extends past the holiday season. For the center, providing resources to the surrounding community is a year-round affair.

This year, the Ecology Center provided more than 44,000 pounds of food to families facing food insecurity through the Nourishing Neighbors program. The program is designed to deliver weekly boxes of farm-fresh produce and other pantry staples to local families in San Juan Capistrano.

Now, the center is calling upon the community to ensure that Nourishing Neighbors can continue on through 2022. The year-end goal for the Ecology Center is to raise $50,000 in support of important programs like Nourishing Neighbors. It seems like a lot of money, but Boochcraft has pledged to match all contributions up to $10,000.
