Did you know that the San Juan Capistrano Regional library is a post-modern design of world-renown architect Michael Graves? Come learn about "Capistrano's other jewel" on an Architectural Walking Tour.
You'll see homes that span 200 years of architecture from the first adobes to a striking modern streamline building. You'll hear fascinating stories about this very unique place as you stroll through town with a short stop in Blas Aguilar Adobe, a museum that houses artifacts reflecting the different periods of San Juan Capistrano history and surrounding area, while accurately serving to educate it's visitors.
Friends of the Library docent-volunteers provide guided interpretation each Saturday beginning at 10 a.m. The walking tours depart from the Capistrano Depot and cover one mile in 90 minutes on level ground. Donations are $5.

The architectural walking tour is a great activity for visiting family and friends. You can step right off the train, take a tour and then have lunch at one of the many friendly restaurants in town.
For reservations, leave a message on our hotline 949-489-0736 so we'll know you'll be joining us. There is a docent at the train station every Saturday (except holiday weekends) at 10:00 am so even if you don't make a reservation, just show up and we'll be there!
