
In collaboration with the Italian Cultural Institute of Los Angeles you are invited to celebrate The Year of Italian Culture AND the great Giuseppe Verdi's 200th birthday with a special presentation of Nabucco at the San Juan Capistrano Regency Theater!!! The world's leading conductors have brought Classical masterpieces to cinematic life. You will be transported you to the Teatro Municipale di Piacenza (2004) with the Orchestra Fondazione Arturo Toscanini conducted by Daniel Oren, the Choir of the Teatro Municipale di Piacenza and with the participation of SONICS acrobatica dance group. You will have a behind the scenes look, interviews with the artists and be up front with the orchestra and soloists. Their gestures and expressions will bring you center stage. Nabucco is the opera which is considered to have permanently established Verdi's reputation as a composer. He commented that "this is the opera with which my artistic career really begins. And though I had many difficulties to fight against, it is certain that Nabucco was born under a lucky star."
