Menehune Surfing Contest and Junior Championship

This event is one of the premier children’s surfing contests on the coast, with surfing divisions for ages 8 through 17 years old. There will be other fun activities like the watermelon eating contest.

Each competitor is invited to the pre-contest party at the Hobie Store in Dana Point, gets a T-shirt, goodie bag and every child entered gets fed lunch too. There are also cool trophies for the finalists in each division.  

Check-in and beach sign ups will be held 6 p.m. Friday, June 24 at Hobie Sports, 34174 Pacific Coast Highway, Dana Point.
