Firefighters Save San Juan Capistrano Home From Blaze
A home in San Juan Capistrano caught fire this week in the Via Zamora area.

SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO, CA — Orange County Fire Authority firefighters responded to a house fire, midday Tuesday, in a San Juan Capistrano neighborhood. Smoke poured from the home on the 29000 block of Via Zamora, inside a gated subdivision off Stallion Ridge and Avenida La Pata.
"Firefighters responded to the single-family home, and found active flames at the scene," an OCFA spokesperson said. It took 22 minutes, but the firefighters fully knocked down the blaze.
"The fire started in a wall that was shared by an exterior fireplace," they reported. The firefighters on the scene managed to extinguish the fire within about 20 minutes.

The residents were not displaced due to the fire.
