Fresh from the Vine - All Things Tomato

Join Us in this hands on cooking class to learn how to utilize the abundant harvest of summer and create delicious, fresh food.

Experience a hands-on cooking class for adults, starting with harvesting fresh, in season ingredients in the garden and ending with a farm-to-table meal.

Our Farm to Fork adult series of cooking classes teaches you how to prepare dishes using seasonal produce you would find at your local farmer’s market or growing in your backyard! We’ll begin with a sensory exploration of The Ecology Center’s orchard, veggie and herb gardens, and end with the preparation and enjoyment of a meal.

Look forward to amazing recipes, coming soon!

Instructor: Chef Kerri Cacciata
Instructor Bio: Kerri was born and raised in Orange County. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in community organizing in San Francisco and studied culinary arts locally, finding harmony when the two subjects come together. She has worked in non-profit agencies, farmers markets, and in a number of professional kitchens. Kerri has spent over 10 years working and volunteering in the city of Santa Ana, and has worked hard to help bring a new farmers’ market to the community, launching the DTSA Certified Farmers’ Market March 2014.
