Hail Falls In San Juan Capistrano: Patch Photo Of The Day

SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO, CA — On Thursday, clouds were circling and this eerie weather picture was taken by Jim Alvey.

"This is a view of San Juan Capistrano, with hail falling and the sky threatening!" he told us. Shortly after this picture, the Ortega Highway was closed down due to snow and ice in the mountain passes!

Orange County loves it when there is snow in our mountains, and this photo Alvey captured tells that story, beautifully.
