The Ecology Center presents: Homemade Natural Cleaning Supplies Workshop @ Center for Living Peace

Green up your clean-up! Swap out chemical-based cleaners for homemade, natural versions. AUGUST 1 AT 1PM

It takes a lot of energy to keep your home clean and safe. But what if your efforts to create a healthy home were actually creating a dangerous dwelling? Believe it or not, the average household contains 3 to 25 gallons of toxic chemicals, mostly hidden inside cleaning products. Despite known linkages between many of these chemicals and a variety of health issues, only 5 out of an estimated 83,000 of them have been banned under the Toxic Substance Control Act!

Join us to learn how to make your own cleaning products using ingredients you already own like white vinegar, lemon, and herbs! These versions are cheap, easy to make, and just as effective as their as often toxic store-bought counterpart!

Participants will make their own cleaning products to take home and use that very day! We will make a laundry soap, countertop cleaner and a yoga mat refresher.
