If the District does not have sufficient funds to staff and fund the State’s mandated minimum core curriculum, then how is the District suppose to fund increased compensation for employees?
The District has an obligation to ask for more funding from the State. CUEA should join that cause. CUEA should not ask CUSD to cut more programs and increase class sizes to pay for raises.

A Citizen Addressed the Board at Last Nights meeting
The Board Listened
But
They have no Money to fix the problem
http://www.slideshare.net/DawnUrbanek/fundraising-for-core-educational-programs

But we did learn something new!
Under Local Control the State of California got rid of content standards.Physical education is the only subject that has a required number of instructional minutes ...
The schedule of the instructional day and week is determined by the teacher...

Now I understand why my child was not taught the last three chapters of the Algebra I curriculum...
Because the Teacher is no longer required to teach to a certain standard.
But-
By all means - lets use what money we do have to give employees another raise.
SETTLE NOW!
It’s for the kids!
