Life and Leadership Is Topic on November 17 at Capistrano Valley Christian Schools

Keeping Your Kids on God's Side will be front and center at a fundraising event on November 17 at Capistrano Valley Christian Schools (CVCS)

October 24, 2016, San Juan Capistrano, CA: Keeping Your Kids on God’s Side will be front and center at a fundraising event on November 17 at Capistrano Valley Christian Schools (CVCS). The school will host Natasha Crain, who holds an MBA from UCLA and a certificate in Christian Apologetics from Biola University. Research shows that by the time children become young adults, at least 60 percent turn away from their faith. The talk will provide a philosophy to help parents to start an on-going conversation to build a strong, life-long foundation of faith in children’s lives.

The event begins at 7 p.m. at CVCS campus, 32032 Del Obispo St., San Juan Capistrano.

Apologetics, which presents reasoned explanations of religious doctrines, is a timely topic as the secular community asks challenging questions about Christianity. “We want parents to feel confident about having deeper conversations with their children about faith,” said CVCS Head of Schools, Mr. Christopher Rutz. “We are pleased to welcome Natasha Crain to our campus, knowing she is a nationally recognized leader with the expertise and insight to introduce important issues and equip our parents to engage in conversations with their kids.”

Crain, author of Keeping Your Kids on God’s Side, will address some of the most common conversation topics about God; truth and worldviews; Jesus; the Bible; and science. Among the tough questions that often arise from child to parent are: How could a good God allow evil? Do all religions point to the same truth? How can Christians believe miracles are even possible? Why were books left out of the Bible? What is intelligent design and the major pieces of evidence for evolution?

Mrs. Crain is married and a mother of three. Crain holds an MBA in marketing and statistics and a B.A. in economics; and is also a member of the International Society for Women in Apologetics.
Copies of Crain’s book will be available for purchase at the event.
