Live Christmas Tree? Remove it ASAP, says OCFA
If you have a live Christmas tree you may want to think about getting rid of it right away, according to OCFA. Here's why.

SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO, CA โ That in between time between Christmas and New Years is when most Christmas Tree fires happen, according to Orange County Fire Authority, Capt. Larry Kurtz.
"When the tree is dry, remember to keep it watered until you get it out of the house," Kurtz said. This time of year, tinder-dry trees are most prone to catching fire.
Even properly cared for trees eventually dry out and die, completely, and need to be disposed of, Kurtz said.
