Living Stations of the Cross

Mission Basilica School’s reverent presentation of Stations of the Cross during the Lenten season is a moving portrayal of the Passion of Christ.Β  Each year the eighth grade students take part in this spiritual journey and it is one of the highlights of their final year at MBS.Β  As younger students at Mission School these eighth graders attended Living Stations knowing that one day they would have the honor of bringing the story to life for the school students, their families, friends, parishioners and visitors to the Mission.Β  Each eighth grader has a special part in the presentation as either a reader or performer and a true sense of class pride develops throughout the preparation.Β  In the classroom their studies focus on the meaning of Lent and sacrifice as written in the Bible.Β  They also write moving poems and create drawings that depict Christ’s journey to Calvary.Β  Please join them for their final presentation on Wednesday, April 16th at 11:30 a.m. in the Basilica.Β
