MBS Boys Football - Third Week of October

Last week Mission B football took on Capistrano Valley Christian.  Alex Salas scored a touchdown, Patrick McClemmy scored two touchdowns, and Aidan Prukop scored three.  Defensive standout Patrick McClemmy had a critical interception.  Cory Hirose, Alex Salas, and Joshua Quenga all tipped and batted down CVC's passes.  Brian King supplied a TD saving flag pull and our pass rush was led by stalwarts Daniel Brannock and Patrick Leavy.  Mission triumphed 38-20.  Swallows Win!!

Last week, Mission B football dominated Stoneybrook Christian with an aerial attack that produced four touchdown passes from QB Aidan Prukop to receiver Riley Sullivan.  Two more touchdowns were scored on scrambles by running back Corey Hirose.  The defense was blocking passes and pulling flags all over the field.  Devensive standouts were Nathan Aguilar and Patrick McClemmy.  Long runs by Alex Salas and Cory Hirose led to crucial first downs.  Final score Mission 47, Stoneybrooke 38.  Swallows Win!!

Also last week, Mission B played a nail biter against Mission Viejo Christian.  The scores were back and forth until Aidan Prukop connected with Riley Sullivan on a 30 yard pass to get Mission in scoring range with 40 seconds to go.  Aidan Prukop ran in the winning touchdown and extra point with only 3 seconds left to play.  Tough defense by John Perone, Patrick Leavey, and Daniel Brannock cemented the win.  A blocked extra point by Nathan Aguilar, QB sack by Cory Hirose, and long run by Alex Salas proved critical.  Mission Swallows 29, Mission Viejo Christian 28.  Swallows Win!!
