MBS Students Giving Back to the Community

The MBS seventh grade recently participated in a community outreach project for Isaiah House. Throughout the month of May and June the seventh graders made posters publicizing their project and began collecting the items.Β  They focused their efforts on collecting personal hygiene products such as toothbrushes, combs, brushes and toilet paper.Β  Β Isaiah House of the Orange County Catholic Worker has served poor people with dignity since 1987. Located in Santa Ana's eastside barrio on Cypress Street, this house of hospitality is open to people in need. Respectful personal attention is at the heart of their service. These students delivered the donations and had a wonderful afternoon meeting the residents. According to the director, one resident β€œsmiled for the first time since she had arrived when the students took the time to teach her some new card games.”  Β

At MBS we are committed to academic excellence rooted in Catholic values and traditions. For a tour of the school and additional information, please contact the school office at 234-1385, ext. 2.
