MBS Students Pay Tribute to Monsignor Art

It was a day of celebration as the MBS students honored Monsignor Art Holquin on the 40th anniversary of his ordination.Β Β  During the all school Mass the student body came together to recognize all of the wonderful qualities that Monsignor has shared with the students during his years as Pastor.Β Β  A representative from each class processed up the center aisle carrying a symbol signifying a unique quality of Monsignors as the Student Council President read inspirational messages explaining the significance of each symbol.Β  The Kindergarten student grasped the string of the heart shaped balloon that represented Monsignor’s compassion.Β Β  Seventh grade chose to focus on his dedication to a life of stewardship; their representative carried a basket of bread.Β  Other classes focused on his patience, wisdom, leadership and communication expertise.Β  The eighth grade created a book of inspirational writings, which contained messages from each student explaining Monsignor has been inspirational in their life and how he teaches them to become more Christ-like through his words and his actions.Β Β

Thank you Monsignor Art for all that you do for the students of MBS.
