Mission Basilica School Event

Mission Basilica School presents: "Bye Bye Birdie"

Come and see the talented 6-8 grade students from Mission Basilica School perform in this Young Performer’s Edition of the classic Broadway musical.

This Elvis-inspired satire crafted with the fondest affection tells the story of a rock and roll singer, Conrad Birdie, who has been drafted to the army. As a farewell, the rock and roll star is scheduled to sing Albert Peterson’s β€œOne Last Kiss” and kiss a girl from Sweet Apple, Ohio live on the Ed Sullivan Show. However, Conrad’s appeal to females makes more than one man in town uncomfortable, many of whom attempt to stop the show from happening. Meanwhile, Albert’s girlfriend Rosie wonders if Albert will ever leave his mother’s shadow and set a date.
