Multi-Vehicle Injury Crash On I-5 Freeway
Three lanes are blocked due to a multi-vehicle collision, CHP said. Injuries were reported.

SAN CLEMENTE, CA โ A multiple vehicle collision on Monday closed three lanes of northbound traffic on the San Diego (5) Freeway, according to California Highway Patrol.
"A SigAlert was issued by the CHP," Officer Rafael Reynoso said. "The number one, two and three lanes were blocked due to the collision."
Three vehicles were involved in the crash. A red truck, white van and grey Mercedes according to Reynoso, all of which will be towed away from the scene.

"The incident occurred just north of El Camino Real in the San Clemente area," he said. "There are reports from the scene that there was gas leaking from the truck, but that has not yet been confirmed."
The initial call came in at just after 1 p.m. and the SIGAlert was expected to last until 2:15 p.m. or 2:30 p.m. Monday, Reynoso said.

One trauma patient was transported to an area hospital, according to Orange County Fire Authority Captain Larry Kurtz.
There was no mention as of this report regarding the severity of the injuries.
