But before we jump into Southern California’s top stories, Golden Staters should know that vaccines for children as young as 6 months old will be available as early as Tuesday. The news comes after federal officials approved the Moderna and Pfizer vaccines for ages 5 and under.
The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention unanimously approved giving COVID-19 vaccines to children as young as 6 months old on Saturday. CDC Director Dr. Rochelle Walensky signed off on the decision the same day.
