Come join us as we celebrate piggies and piggy people at the SoCal Pignic!!
Enter your piggies in our fun Costume Contest and Veggie Eating contest.
Dr. Suzanne Pluskat, DVM, of Long Beach Animal Hospital, will be giving a Cavy Talk/Q&A! You don't want to miss it!
Firelight Photography will be there to take pignic-themed pictures of your piggies.
Strictly Vegan Jamaican Cuisine will be serving vegan and non-vegan dishes (http://strictly-vegan.com/) and Snopel's Bakery (http://www.snopels.com/) will be there so there will be plenty of food!! And Food4Buns will be there with healthy treats for your piggies as well!!
We'll also have tons of fun piggy products!! Health checks and
grooming are included in price of admission. Both will be offered
throughout the day.
$6 for adults/$3 for children 12 and under
Children up to 3 years old are free.
Schedule:
1pm - Vet talk with Dr. Pluskat
2pm - Veggie eating contest
2:30 - Raffle Drawing #1
3pm - Cavy costume contest
3:30 - Raffle Drawing #2
3:45 - Silent auction table closes (get your bids in before this time!)
Raffle tickets: $1 each or $5 for 7
All proceeds go to the guinea pigs
~We have tons of cool stuff in our silent auction and raffle fundraisers!
Please
bring a pen and blanket for your piggies. Also, remember to check the
weather. Temperatures are expected to be about 70 degrees in June, but
you might want to bring frozen water bottles, or a portable fan for
piggies' comfort. Also, feel free to bring an EZ-up or other type of
shade.
