Orange County School Threats Ruled Hoax, Lockdowns Lifted: OCSD

A morning school threat called in at several Orange County schools was declared non-credible, Orange County Sheriff's Department says.

ORANGE COUNTY, CA —Police lifted a morning school lockdown at several campuses across the Orange Unified School District and Anaheim Unified School District, according to reports.

Schools across the county received phoned in threats Friday morning, at approximately 8:30 a.m., the Orange County Sheriff's Department spokesperson told Patch.

The calls involved "vague threats," OCSD department spokeswoman Carrie Braun said. Those schools were placed on a "shelter in place" status, an investigation was begun, and late Friday morning the sheriff's department reported that the "shelter in place" order had been lifted.
