Planning Commission to Hear Proposal for Low-Density Housing on Camino Lacouague
The San Juan Capistrano Planning Commission meets at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Daniel Lacouague will ask the Planning Commission tonight, Tuesday, to grant him permission to build "very low-density" housing on a 5.18-acre parcel he owns at the southeast corner of San Juan Creek Road and Camino Lacouague.
According to a report filed by San Juan Capistrano's development services department, Lacouague wants to divide the parcel—consisting of two existing parcels developed with four existing homes—into eight new parcels on which to build single-family homes. The land is a remnant piece from the Rancho San Juan subdivision, and the proposed density—1.5 units per acre—is lower than what the city’s plans allow.
City staffers said in the report that under Lacouague's proposal, the eight parcels would range between .47 acres to .76 acres each. The four existing dwellings would remain on their own respective parcels, and four new vacant parcels would be created on which to build the single-family homes.
