Police Seek Help Identifying Woman Found in Wilderness Area

With the help of facial reconstruction, a forensic artist painted an image of a woman found in Casper's Wilderness Park.

Detectives with the Orange County Sheriff’s Department are asking for help identifying the remains of a woman whose body was found in the Casper’s Wilderness Park in January.

On Friday, the department released a drawing by a forensic artist using facial reconstruction in hopes that someone might recognize the woman.

The body had been exposed to the elements for at least six months when it was discovered, according to the Orange County Sheriff’s Department.

β€œ After preliminary testing, it has been determined the remains are of a petite female, at least thirty years of age, shoulder length wavy dark brown hair with light colored highlights,” the sheriff’s department announced in a written release. β€œThe decedent had a very distinct gold colored dental bridge on her left lower jaw and possibly had a broken nose at some point in her life.”
