Police Seek San Juan Capistrano Shooter
Police are asking for help identifying a gunman who shot at man on Del Obispo Street.

Police are looking for a gunman who shot another man in San Juan Capistrano Monday night.
The Orange County Sheriff’s Department received several reports of gunfire at 7:10 p.m. in the area of 31000 block of Del Obispo Street, said Lt. Jeff Hallock. Witnesses reported seeing a man slumped over as if he had been hit.
But when police arrived, they saw no sign of the victim - only bullet casings on the ground, said Hallock.

However, 30 minutes later Mission Hospital called to report a gunshot victim in the emergency room. Police believe the victim may have been the man shot on Del Obispo Street. His injuries are not life-threatening.
Anyone with information about the shooting is asked to call the police at (714) 647-7000. Anonymous tips may also be submitted to Orange County Crime Stoppers at 855-TIP-OCCS (855-847-6227) or at occrimestoppers.org.
