One lucky southern California Powerball ticket holder matched 5, but missed the Powerball number on July 22, 2017 Powerball Drawing.

NUEVO, CA — No ticket matched all six numbers was sold in Saturday night's drawing of the multi-state Powerball lottery. However, a lucky southern California ticket purchased in Nuevo, California matched five numbers according to the Powerball multi-state organization that runs the games.

"A winning ticket that matched 5 was sold at the Nuevo Market on 29616 Nuevo road," they said.

If you purchased a ticket there, be sure and check your ticket numbers. Your winning ticket is work just over $1.45 million according to the Powerball website.

The lucky numbers for Saturday, July 22 were: 5, 32, 44, 53, 60 with the powerball number of 9.

The jackpot was an estimated $187 million.

If you played Powerball, over 84,500 California tickets won prizes this week.

Starting with the big match 5 winning ticket from Nuevo, there were four lucky tickets matching 4 along with the Powerball number and those ticket holders will bring home over $10,500.

Those 49 folks who matched 4 numbers will take home $400.

Those 3,000+ who matched 3 numbers plus the Powerball number will take home almost $150.

If you are one of the 3,000 ticket holders who matched 3 or the 2,800+ who matched 2 plus the Powerball, your ticket is worth $8.

Those 23,000+ who matched 1 plus the Powerball will take home $4.

Finally, if you are one of the 55,000+ who just matched the Powerball number, your ticket will earn you $3.

That's well worth the cost of playing, if you just purchased one ticket.

The odds of matching all five numbers and the Powerball number is 1 in about 293 million, according to the Powerball website. The overall chance of winning a prize is 1 in 24.87.

The Powerball game is played in 44 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico and U.S. Virgin Islands
