โ€œFor $1, Wendyโ€™s customers can buy a Frosty Key Tag that gets them a free Jr. Frosty with every purchase during 2015, while supplies last,โ€ a news release from Wendyโ€™s states.

Ninety cents from every dollar will go to help find families for children in foster care via the Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption, according to Wendyโ€™s.

Last year, more than $2.9 million was raised through the program via the Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption (DTFA).

โ€œStarted by Wendyโ€™s Founder Dave Thomas, who was adopted himself, the DTFA works in communities across the U.S. and Canada to help dramatically increase the number of adoptions for children in foster care,โ€ the news release says.

โ€œAt Wendyโ€™s, we believe that every child deserves a family and have worked tirelessly to help children find loving homes,โ€ said Liz Geraghty, Wendyโ€™s vice president of marketing. โ€œRight now, there are more than 100,000 children in foster care in the United States waiting to be adopted. The Frosty Key Tag Program gives our customers a chance to impact the lives of these children in their own communities, while enjoying Frosty treats all year long.โ€
