Quarantine/Screening For Illness In Capistrano Unified School District

Good Evening CUSD Families,

We are excited to welcome you back from Winter Break. If your student or students are returning to a classroom or hybrid option this week, we have included reminders on how to screen for illness at home. Additionally, if you have travelled and will be quarantining, please contact your teacher for missed work.

Screening at Home

• Families will take student temperatures each day before going to school. Any student with a fever of 100.4 F or higher should not go to a school site. Personal illness, quarantine, and COVID-19 illness or symptom related absence will be excused. Parents or guardians should continue to contact the attendance office when their student is ill and not attending school. Students with COVID like symptoms should remain home until symptom free for 3 days. The student should be fever free, without the use of fever reducing medication, for 24 hours prior to the return to school.
• Staff members are required to self-screen and complete a daily temperature check prior to coming to work. Any employee with a fever of 100.4 F or higher should not go to a school site. If staff members are experiencing COVID like symptoms, they should stay home and contact their principal.
• Anyone who has been diagnosed as COVID-19 positive within the past 14 days should notify their school office staff.

Nos complace darles la bienvenida de regreso a clases después de las Vacaciones de Invierno.

Si su estudiante o estudiantes regresan al aula de clases o una opción híbrida durante esta semana, hemos incluido notificaciones sobre cómo detectar enfermedades en casa.
Asimismo, si ha viajado y estará en cuarentena, comuníquese con su maestro para recibir las tareas asignadas.

Evaluación en Casa

• Las familias deberán tomar la temperatura de los estudiantes todos los días antes de ir a la escuela. Cualquier estudiante con fiebre de 100.4 F o superior no pueden asistir a l campus escolar. Enfermedades comunes, cuarentena y COVID-19 o ausencia relacionada con síntomas de una enfermedad serán justificadas. Los padres o representantes legales deben continuar comunicándose con la oficina con la oficina de asistencia cuando su estudiante esté enfermo y no asista a la escuela. Los estudiantes con síntomas similares a los síntomas de COVID deben permanecer en casa hasta que no presenten síntomas durante 3 días consecutivos. El estudiante debe estar libre de fiebre, sin el uso de medicamentos para reducir la fiebre, durante 24 horas antes de regresar a la escuela.
• Los miembros del personal deben autoevaluarse y completar un control diario de la temperatura antes de presentarse al trabajo.
