Kean Coleman was part of our team that went to Houston, Texas. Even though Kean had a fever during the competition he battled through it and hit a high of 62 kg. on his Snatch. Many people look forward to see what Kean is able to do at School Age.
Tim Aney was able to hit every single lift during this competition. Tim hit a new personal record on his Snatch with a high of 78 kg. This was not enough for Tim. After he accomplished this he went out and hit another personal record for his Clean and Jerk, which was 95 kg. This total weight for both lifts combined was 173 kg and secured him a gold medal in his weight category.

The next lifter for CVC Iron Man Team is Alex Colombo. This was his first weightlifting competition. Colombo did not disappoint with starting off hitting all three of his Snatch attempts with a personal record of 76 kg. He then hit all three of his Clean and Jerks with a high of 91 kg, which was a personal record. This was a total of 167 kg. and secured Alex a gold medal and a spot at School Age Nationals.
Phillip Wilhelm was the last lifter for CVCS and showed a remarkable performance. He came out and hit all three of his Snatch attempts with a high of 117 kg. which was a personal record. Following that he came out and hit only one Clean and Jerk at 148 kg. This total weight of 265 kg. secured Phillip a gold medal.
The Iron Man Team got five out of six medals in either first place or second. Coach Chris Wilhelm believes that his team is showing improvements in many areas of their lifts. Their ultimate goal is to compete in the School Age Nationals to the best of their abilities. They plan on taking seven lifters to that competition and possibly receive a team medal.
