Rivco Cops Find OC Stolen Scion, Property At Traffic Stop

During a routine traffic stop, these police officers discovered the driver and passenger were in possession of stolen property.

ORANGE COUNTY, CA — A Riverside County traffic stop in Tuesday resulted in the arrest of a man and woman on suspicion of vehicle theft and possession of stolen property.

Lake Elsinore Deputies spotted a black Scion in the area of Riverside Drive and Collier Avenue midday Tuesday, that was reported stolen from Orange County on Jan. 31, according to Sgt. James Woodland of the Riverside County Sheriff's Department.

Deputies requested additional units and stopped the vehicle on Strickland Avenue near Riverside Drive and took the driver, Victor Vega of Lake Elsinore, and the passenger, Jacqueline Ramirez of Wildomar, into custody without incident, Woodland said.

Vega and Ramirez were both booked into the Cois Byrd Detention Center in Murrieta on suspicion of vehicle theft and possession of stolen property.
