Jean Pendergrass, a Senior at Saddleback Valley Christian Schools, was named a semifinalist in the 2014 National Merit Scholarship Program. The program is an annual competition for recognition and college undergraduate scholarships. It uses the PSAT/NMSAT test to identify some of the most gifted High School students in the country.
As a semifinalist, Jean scored higher than 99+% of the nation’s High School graduating Seniors. She is also the only student in San Juan Capistrano to have earned the honor this year.

She is now eligible for a number of scholarships associated with the National Merit Program.
