Employees have received four years of across the board compensation increases totaling over $120 million dollars.
Teachers are threatening to Strike.
CUSD cannot continue to put employee compensation above the health and safety of students.
The State of California has record high revenues and has accumulated $77 billion in additional revenues since 2007-08.
The State's new education funding formula limits per pupil funding to 2007-08 levels + inflation, not to be reached until 2021.
The State has stolen $1.56 billion from CUSD alone.
The State's 5- Year Infrastructure plan does not allocate a single penny to K-12 Public Education Facilities - it all goes to Transportation aka High Speed Rail.
The answer for our schools IS NOT a $889 million dollar school facilities bond- the answer is to take back our schools by breaking up CUSD, and to get the money the State has stolen from our students.
CUSD has proven that taxpayers cannot trust this district to manage money in a manner that benefits students.
