Good Evening CUSD Families,

Today’s Chromebook distribution was frustrating for many of you and we completely understand. Demand was much stronger than we anticipated and we are working to develop a plan that provides better access to the school sites and does not create traffic congestion and long lines.

Tomorrow you will receive more information along with a survey to help our staff understand the needs of our families and plan for distribution at each school site.

There appears to be confusion about which students need a chromebook.

Please understand that you DO NOT need a chromebook to receive lessons from your child’s teacher. Any internet connected computer, tablet or cell phone will work. Our first priority is to assist families who do not have access to a device at home.

For assistance on how to log in to Google Classroom on an Android, iPhone, iPad, or computer, please visit our Online Learning Parent Resources page.

We are working with teachers and principals to ensure flexibility on assignment due dates and classroom materials. Student grades and participation will not be jeopardized due to this short delay.

We appreciate your patience and support as we work to support distance learning for 47,000 students.
