San Juan Capistrano Gets Approval For Senior Housing Plan
The Orange County Board of Supervisors approved a plan for The Groves Senior Apartment Complex for low and no income seniors.
SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO, CA — San Juan Capistrano city officials are getting some help to finance a 75-unit affordable housing development for seniors, thanks to a plan approved by the Orange County supervisors.
The Groves Senior Apartments project will be on a 3.85-acre site at 30333 Camino Capistrano and will provide residences for low-income seniors, with 10 units set aside for homeless seniors.
The development will include 60 one-bedroom apartments, 14 two-bedroom apartments and a three-bedroom apartment for an on-site manager.

The project includes "tax benefits that go to the developer, so it's a win-win for everyone involved," Orange County Board Chairwoman Lisa Bartlett said.
"I'm really happy to see this project moving forward," Bartlett said. "This will go a long way toward achieving our goals of ending homelessness in our county.
