VIDEO: San Juan Has Perfect Brows

Perfect Brows has brought threading to San Juan Capistrano.

The salon offers many full-spa services, such as facials and waxing and oil treatments for the hair. But it's the threading that is its flagship service.

Threading is an ancient way of removing hair, according to owner Pooja Dodhiwala, who has two other Perfect Brows locations, one in Belmont Shores, the other in Orange. The thread wraps around a hair, and it's gone.

Brow artist Akshata Advani said plucking often leads to in-grown hair and balding. Repeated waxings can darken and loosen the skin.

But threading does none of that.

"You twist and pull from the root. It sounds painful, but it's definitely not," Advani said.

Perfect brows is located in the shopping center at Ortega Highway and Rancho Viejo Road, near Tannins and Starbucks, but on top.
