San Juan Capistrano Man Struck 3 Times, Dies Crossing PCH
The 78-year-old man was walking with his wife, trying to cross PCH when he was struck by three different vehicles, police say.

SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO, CA —The Orange County Sheriff's Department released the identity of a San Juan Capistrano man, struck by three cars and killed crossing PCH in Dana Point on Saturday night.
Vito DiGiorgio, 78, and his wife "were not in a crosswalk as they attempted to cross PCH just after 6 p.m.," according to Carrie Braun of the Orange County Sheriff's Department.
His wife, who was not identified, made it safely across the street, however, Mr. DiGiorgio was struck by three separate vehicles, Braun said. A white Range Rover, heading south, was the first car to collide with him, Braun said. "That impact threw him into a northbound lane, where a silver Dodge Ram and a black Toyota Solara both hit him," she said.
