San Juan Capistrano: National Prescription Drug Take Back Day

SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO, CA — It's that time of year again. Bring your unwanted, unused and expired prescription medications to a drug collection center near you. The National Prescription Medication Take Back Day will take place Saturday, Oct. 27 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

In San Juan Capistrano, the Orange County Sheriff’s Department will be collecting at City Hall, located at: 32400 Paseo Adelanto during that time.

Other drop off locations across Orange County include Anaheim, Laguna Hills, Laguna Woods, Lake Forest, Mission Viejo, Rancho Santa Margarita, Rossmoor, San Juan Capistrano, Unincorporated Orange County, and Yorba Linda, according to the Orange County Sheriff's Department.

The collection locations serve the cities of Aliso Viejo, Dana Point, Laguna Niguel, Laguna Woods, Lake Forest, Mission Viejo, Rancho Santa Margarita, San Clemente, San Juan Capistrano, Stanton, Villa Park, Yorba Linda as well as the unincorporated communities of Coto de Caza, Ladera Ranch, Los Flores, Rossmoor and Wagon Wheel, the OCSD said.

Please do not bring sharps to this collection, they said. The event will be held rain or shine.
