San Juan Capistrano Police Beat: Monday, Nov. 12

OCSD officers went to aid Malibu with emergency personnel battling the Woolsey Fire. Meanwhile, deputies at home handled 24-hours of calls.

SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO, CA — Orange County Sheriff's Department deputies headed north to Malibu to assist emergency personnel during the Woolsey Fire, where over 91,000 acres and many structures have burned, and lives have been lost.

Meanwhile, back at home in San Juan Capistrano, here are some calls that remaining deputies answered on Sunday a1nd Monday:

4:3o p.m.: Orange County Sheriff's Department deputies took a fraud report from a resident on the 32500 block of Pas Adelanto.

5:00 p.m.: Officers responded to a disturbance in the area of 32000 block of Camino Capistrano.

6:30 p.m.: A burglary alarm was reported on the 31800 block of Del Obispo Street. Officers responded and inspected the area.

7:30 p.m.: Another burglar alarm was audible in the area of 30300 Camino Capistrano.

8 p.m.: Fireworks overhead were reported on the 28000 block of San Juan Creek Road. Officers responded to the scene, where they stayed for nearly 20 minutes.

9:30 p.m.: Officers responded to the scene of a hit and run of a parked car on Avenida De La Vista and Pas Santa Clara. A report was taken.

10 p.m.: San Juan Capistrano Officers made several stops on Del Obispo Street and Forster Lane. A traffic stop, followed by a bike stop and a narcotic violation on Del Obispo Street and Camino Del Avion.

Monday:

2:45 p.m.: Officers conducted a patrol check in the area of Pas Diana and Avenida Siega.

7:30 a.m.: A disturbance was reported on the 27100 block of Ortega Highway. Officers responded to the scene, conducting a thorough investigation.

8:30 a.m.: A petty theft report was taken by officers on the 32300 block of San Juan Creek Road.

10 a.m.: A traffic collision occurred in the area of Rancho Viejo Road and Golf Club Drive. No one was injured, according to OCSD.

11 a.m..: Officers responded to an "automobile involved disturbance," they said. OCSD responded to Camino Las Ramblas and Las Palmas Del Mar, to investigate.

11:30 a.m.: A report was called in stating there was a suspicious person inside a vehicle on Via Pamplona and Vista Montana. Officers responded and spent nearly 15 minutes at the scene.

3 p.m.: San Juan Capistrano officers conducted a traffic stop at La Novia Avenue and San Juan Creek Road.
