Senior Care Hero Awards Nominations Open!
Nominations Open for Fifth Annual Senior Care Hero Awards Celebrating OC's Unsung Heroes
SeniorServ - the county’s largest nonprofit senior nutrition provider – is seeking nominations from Orange County and surrounding communities for their fifth annual Senior Care Hero Awards honoring extraordinary individuals in the senior industry. Nominations for the People’s Choice Hero categories are Veteran, Senior, Family Member and Volunteer. Senior care industry categories include Outstanding Caregiver, Social Worker, Nurse, Physician, Executive Director, Senior Care Professional, Therapist and Advocate/Gerontologist/Educator.
A first-time Inspiring Senior Award seeks short video entries of extraordinary seniors. Both the winning videographer and senior represented in the video will receive a cash award of $1500.
The general public can nominate and vote all categories and the People’s Choice Hero awards are selected by popular vote. The industry and video award recipients are selected by an Academy of Leaders comprised of highly-regarded leaders in the field of senior care.

All nominees and winners will be recognized at a special awards ceremony on October 17, 2015 at The Grove of Anaheim among an estimated 600 attendees. KTLA 5’s Henry DiCarlo will serve as event emcee and event chair is Pat Bridges, Regional VP Care Integration at St. Joseph Heritage Healthcare. Dr. George Fields - Chief Medical Officer, CareMore Essentials - is the 2015 Lifetime Achievement recipient.
General admission tickets are $150 or $125 if purchased by July 30. All event proceeds benefit SeniorServ’s Meals on Wheels senior nutrition program and other services for seniors in need.

Complete details for nominating, voting and purchasing tickets can be found at www.seniorcareheroawards.org. Video submissions must be submitted by July 30, 2015 while all other nominations are accepted through August 31, 2015.
