SeniorServ Announces Senior Care Video Contest Offering $3000 Cash Award
Senior Care Hero Video Contest in Southern California
SeniorServ announced this week the newly created Inspiring Senior Award which seeks short videos of extraordinary seniors submitted by videographers of any level expertise. The contest is tied to the organization’s fifth annual Senior Care Hero Awards event to be held on October 17, 2015 at The Grove of Anaheim. Both the winning videographer and senior represented in the video will receive a cash award of $1500.
The contest includes the creation of a 2-3 minute video that shares a story of an inspirational senior (age 60 or older). Organizers are specifically looking for videos that highlight an individual that has overcome a significant challenge as a senior – whether health-related or other hardship.
Susan Papiri, Senior Director Community Relations of SeniorServ and senior staff director of the Inspiring Senior Care Hero Award stresses for participants to be creative with both the selected senior in addition to their video format and style.
