Sidewalk Construction Near Los Rios District: What To Know
San Juan Capistrano residents can expect construction on certain pedestrian access ramps through the summer, the city announced.
SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO, CA — San Juan Capistrano residents can expect construction near the Los Rios District all through the summer, the city announced Thursday.
Crews will be hard at work as construction of the grant-funded street improvement project begins starting June. The project, titled "Spring Street and El Camino Real American With Disabilities Act Improvement Project," includes the reconstruction of five pedestrian access ramps in the city.
The following intersections will be affected by summer construction:

- Ortega Highway and El Camino Real.
- Spring Street and El Camino Real.
Crews will repave deteriorated sections of pavement with widened ADA-compliant sidewalks at the southeast corner of Spring Street and El Camino Real.

The project also includes the relocation of an existing mid-block cross walk, located on El Camino Real and currently situated in front of San Juan Elementary School.
