SJC City Gears Up For 4th Of July Celebration This Weekend

The weekend-long event will feature live music, rides, free food and a celebratory fireworks show this Fourth of July weekend.

SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO, CA — Independence Day is less than a week away, and if you're in search of a plan to celebrate the holiday, you're in luck: the City of San Juan Capistrano is hosting its Fourth of July Celebration and Summer Carnival Friday through Monday.

The event will feature carnival rides, with live performances by "The Big Rock Show" scheduled for Saturday and Sunday. On Monday, the event will close out with a dazzling fireworks display starting at 9 p.m., a city flyer said.

Residents who attend the free event will also enjoy food vendors, family-friendly picnic games, balloon animal art, a free animal petting pen and more.

Participating residents can also enter a free drawing to win a bike, courtesy of Buy My Bikes, according to the city.

The City of San Juan Capistrano's Fourth of July Celebration & Summer Carnival runs from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. Friday, from noon to 10 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, and noon to 10:30 p.m. on Monday.

Residents can hop aboard the city's free trolley service to get to and from the carnival. To learn more about trolley stops and schedules, visit the city's website.

Residents were asked to leave personal fireworks, barbecues and pets at home as they are not permitted at the event.

The celebration will take place at San Juan Capistrano Sports Park, 25925 Camino Del Avion. Residents in search of more information can call 949-493-5911.
