Sketch Among The Flowers At Mission San Juan Capistrano Event

SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO, CA — Are you looking to channel your inner artist? Mission San Juan Capistrano is hosting an onsite sketch tour every third Friday of the month, and residents are invited to join in for an afternoon of peaceful sketching in the mission's gardens.

According to the Mission San Juan Capistrano's website, the tour will lead guests throughout the mission grounds and offer a quick introduction on how to sketch.

Residents who attend the tour will learn how to draw architecture and shapes, as well as basic techniques including one and two-point perspective and shading.

Tour-goers will be provided with sketching materials, however, guests are encouraged to bring a folding stool to sit on during sketch portions of the tour.

Residents interested in participating in Mission San Juan Capistrano's sketch tour can purchase tickets through the mission's website. Tickets are $5 for the general public and $3 for mission members, in addition to general admission fees.
