CUSD is building it's own Data Dashboard; which unlike the State Dashboard, collects social and emotional data on students. To ensure participation by every student, CUSD uses Naviance and Naviance Family, as well as other student data management software to collect PERSONALLY IDENTIFIABLE INFORMATION on ALL students WITHOUT PARENTAL KNOWLEDGE AND EXPRESS CONSENT.

At the May 17, 2017 CUSD workshop on High School Graduation Requirements, I expressed my concern about embedding data collection software programs into classes that are REQUIRED for graduation because Parents have no ability to OPT their children OUT of a required class.
Dr. Susan Holiday responded to my concern by stating that parents could opt their child out of Naviance in CCP. When I pressed Staff about the practicality of opting out of a program that is embedded into multiple core subjects like social studies and world history. Dr. Holiday assured Trustees that this does not happen. As such, I wanted to publish CUSD's Naviance Implementation Plan which clearly shows that Dr. Holiday lied to Trustees.

The following is the individual School Site Implementation Plans which clearly show that Naviance is being done in many core subjects and that practically- speaking CUSD is forcing students to give up their right to protect their personally identifiable data.
ALISO NIGUEL HIGH SCHOOL:
Guidance goes into English- Social Studies and Government to complete Naviance surveys and personality testing.
CAPO VALLEY HIGH SCHOOL:
Guidance goes to Tutorial and they are thinking of adding core classes. All students are taking Hollands Interest Codes. Because personality tests may reveal private thoughts, beliefs and emotions, students and their families must be given the option to opt out. * Naviance Family includes family members and household information - home surveys.
DANA HILLS HIGH SCHOOL:
Guidance goes into History and Advisement English II and Senior Workshops to complete Naviance surveys and personality testing.
SAN CLEMENTE HIGH SCHOOL:
