The Tomb Robbers of Thebes- Free Presentation March 21

You can't take it with you but the Pharaohs of ancient Thebes tried. They just didn't count on the wily tomb robbers of Thebes.

Heists of gold, precious stones, and anything of value that wasn’t nailed down (and some things that were) was fair fodder for the ingenious tomb robbers of ancient Thebes. The Archaeological Research Center of Egypt’s Orange County Branch is hosting a free presentation Mar. 21 at the Bowers Museum, 2002 Main Street in Santa Ana, CA. at 1 PM by Dr. Nigel Strudwick. A professor of Art History at the University of Memphis, Dr, Strudwick  shares his insights about how these carefully hidden tombs were found and the magnificent art and artifacts buried in them that have disappeared since millennium.
