Contract Highlights:
Term: August 26, 2014 to June 30, 2018 (4 years with potential to add years based on performance)
Period: 12 months excluding vacation, recognized holidays, and sick or other approved leave.
Paid Vacation: Limited to 50 days per year (25 annual vacation days with pay + holidays defined in ED Code Section 37220 and 37221 + any additional local holidays approved by the Board)
Salary: $305,000 payable monthly ($25,416.67 per month). This is the minimum the Superintendent can be paid- however the Board has the ability to increase salary each year upon review of the Superintendents Annual Performance Review June 15 of each year.
One Time Relocation Stipend: $15,000
Outside Consulting Work: The New Superintendent will be allowed to use any accrued unused vacation time to work as a paid 3rd party consultant so long as the work does not conflict with the performance of her duties as superintendent and as long as outside activities comply with the FAIR POLITICAL PRACTICES ACT of 1974 as well as any regulations promulgated by the FAIR POLITICAL PRACTICES COMMISSION.
Annual Medical Exam: The District will pay for annual physical exam by a licensed Physician to determine that the Superintendent is able to perform essential duties.
Leave of Absence: Same as all management employees- (not spelled out in this Board Agenda)
Association Memberships: The District will pay for annual membership dues to the Association of California School Administrators as well as dues, membership fees, and related fees for membership in service and civic associations.
Health an Welfare Benefits: Same as all management employees- (not spelled out in this Board Agenda)
Expenses: Reimbursement for "reasonable actual and necessary expenses" (not spelled out in this Board Agenda)
Mutual Termination: 18 months salary ($457,500)
Termination By Board for Cause: Salary/Benefits will Cease
