Upside Down Injury Crash On I-5 Causes San Clemente SIG Alert
A SIG alert was ordered when a silver Toyota was tumbled, ending upside down on the northbound 5 freeway, CHP said.

SAN CLEMENTE, CA โ A dramatic traffic collision Thursday morning closed lanes on the Northbound I-5, just north of the Palizada on-ramp in San Clemente area, according to CHP.
The collision was initially reported during drive time at 7:30 a.m. according to Officer Rafael Reynoso. A silver Toyota was overturned, upside down in the #1 and #2 lanes, according to Reynoso.
"The collision was between a silver Toyota and a black pickup truck," Reynoso said. "Officers responded to the scene, where the Toyota was blocking lanes."

A SIG alert was ordered until approximately 8:30 a.m. according to Reynoso.
Orange County Fire Authority responded to the scene at 7:30 a.m. according to OCFA Captain Larry Kurtz.

"OCFA responded to the crash, just south of Avenida Pico and I-5 to find the silver vehicle on its roof, Kurtz said.
"One patient was transported to area hospital with injuries of unknown severity," he said. "CHP is investigating the crash."
