Video: Sheared Hydrant Creates Huge Geyser
Water gushed about nearly 50 feet in the air for more than an hour.
A woman in her 50s crashed a vehicle in Mission Viejo tonight and sheared a fire hydrant that spouted water for at least an hour.
The driver wasn’t injured in the collision, which occurred about 7:45 p.m. on Cabot Road just south of Oso Parkway, according to the Orange County Fire Authority.

Firefighters were waiting at 8:45 p.m. for Moulton Niguel Water District workers to shut off the broken hydrant.
