Vintage Volkswagens To Roll Into San Juan Capistrano

SAN JAUN CAPISTRANO, CA — The ultimate iconic surf vehicles will be on display this July and in many colors.

Vintage Volkwagen buses from around Orange County will be line the lot at Capistrano Volkswagen on July 10 from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Organized by Buses By The Beach SoCal, in partnership with Capistrano Volkswagen, has invited the community to bring their classic Volkswagen buses. Display space will be on a first-come, first-serve bases, with some chosen to showcase parking inside the showroom, according to the dealer. Organizers expect at least 150 buses to be on display.

The free event comes as Volkswagen prepares to unveil its all electric ID.Buzz, the company's newest van.

Bill Walton, a former Portland Trail Blazer and Volkswagen fan will be in attendance for a meet in greet inside the showroom from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

TK Burgers Food Truck will be serving lunch from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Each person with a display vehicle will receive 1 ticket for a free lunch. Lunch includes a choice of a cheeseburger, hamburger, veggie burger or a marinated chicken sandwich.

Capistrano Volkswagen will remain open for business during normal business hours from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. The service and parts department will remain closed.
