What To Binge Watch On Netflix: Stay-At-Home Moms Share Favorites

Netflix says goodbye to these movies and shows in May 2017 and hello to multiple new ones. These South OC moms give tips on binge watching.

SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO, CA — Netflix is wrapping up an extended love affair with the "Jurassic Park" franchise. In May, expect to no longer be able to view "Jurassic Park" and multiple Stephen King movies. Look for many Disney television shows to say goodbye, including "Good Luck Charlie" and "Kickin' It."

There is still time to catch one more rerun of "Gross Pointe Blank" or finish binge watching "Scrubs." But you better get to it.

Looking for your next binge watching series? An informal Facebook poll of southern California stay-at-home moms had "Parenthood" winning the "What to Watch on Netflix" question, with more than 20 women chiming in on their thoughts of the powerful family drama.

"Parenthood is one of my favorite shows of all time," Kelly Cool said over Facebook poll. "Nothing has replaced it for me. I'm still grieving (that it's over)."

Mother Dalia Jovanovic feels "This is Us" is a close second and in the same vein as "Parenthood," however there is no word as to when Season 1 of "This is Us" will be on Netflix.

Other fan favorites included "13 Reasons Why," "Call The Midwife" and "GirlBoss," but the resounding recommendation from the stay-at-home-moms polled was the new "Schitt's Creek"

"Watch 'Schitt's Creek' for a laugh," Janelle Zwicker said. "I'm sad I finished all the seasons."

But, that is the risk of binge watching. The "show hole" that follows.
