The cost of damages accrued by the fire is not yet known, though Barta said that the 14 residents living nearest the fire were displaced due to drift smoke and utilities being shut off in their apartments. Due to the large size of the affected apartment building, there were many apartments that were not affected by the fire, Barta said.
