Woman Stabbed To Death At San Juan Capistrano Home, 1 Arrested

Deputies responded to numerous domestic disturbance calls to find a woman, dying of mortal stabbing wounds, at her SJC home. 1 was arrested.

SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO, CA — Orange County Sheriff's Department deputies discovered a woman fatally stabbed in her San Juan Capistrano home. Her husband, believed to be responsible for the brutal attack, was arrested, the department reported, Wednesday.

Multiple domestic disturbance calls came in over 911, prompting deputies to investigate at the 26000 block of Cedar Grove Court about 10 p.m., Carrie Braun of the Orange County Sheriff's Department said in a statement.

When deputies arrived, they found the woman, approximately 45 years old, inside of the home, suffering from multiple stab wounds, Braun said.

The woman was pronounced dead at the scene. Her name was withheld, pending notification of her relatives.

Deputies detained a man, approximately 50 years old, at the scene. "He is believed to be the husband of the victim," Braun said.

The man was taken to a hospital for treatment of an unspecified medical issue, and will be booked on suspicion of murder.

His name was not immediately released.

" Based on initial witness information, investigators believe there is no further threat to the community," Braun said.
